joystiq.com — Official Xbox Magazine has the scoop on the Fall Xbox 360 dashboard update, and you better believe it's a doozy. UK-based CVG reports that the December 2 update will allow 360 owners to download and play Microsoft-published Xbox 1 games on their 360s.

never played halo 1 multiplayer, wish they'd let us download maps instead for it.

Will they only release games that exist on the backwards compatibility list? They need to update that thing again. I really want to play this copy of Beyond Good & Evil I bought for 2 dollars.

I wasn't worried about it filling up the harddrive. I was worried that I go home today hopefully with the cable (TRU didn't have it in NJ, was hoping I could use the Galaxy giftcard on it... oh well, maybe the TRU in staten island will, if not I'll hope for best buy) plug the cable in (after the hour or so playing Galax), check out live for a bit, then play some bioshock, shut off the system and maybe play some more galaxy... come back on to the system and have 50 new things on there... Alot to go through. But I want the new stuff as it comes as well.

I doubt it. It seems like more or less a straight port, not a re-make.

I think it's safe to say they stopped a while ago. Not sure when the last update was, but I think it was quite some time ago.
