cnn.com— Facebook on Friday proposed creating a way for people to add their locations to Facebook pages but released almost no details about how the feature will work.

Well, Fox news not withstanding, I think that graphic was created that way because screenshots are kind of boring flat and they wanted to highlight a specific feature.
my basic info section has a current location option.. i didn't notice it until recently and not a lot of people use it.. could this be what they are talking about?
So basically Facebook, once again, is trying to rip of another product? Foursquare is the epitome of check in software showing your location. They are just worried it is getting so popular. Gotta cash in, huh facebook?
If Facebook makes this an opt out for all user, I expect an uproar from anyone who is interested in personal privacy and this will be another strike on the wall for what Facebook has down wrong in terms of releasing people's private information.
First they add realtime stuff to compete with Twitter and now they're thinking about adding location stuff to compete with foursquare and gowalla? Why don't they just stick to what they're good at and enjoy their success instead of half-assedly implementing features that other sites do much better?
"Dave is in Barbados at the Hotel Paradise""Burglar Bob is at Dave's house""Burglar Bob has changed his status to $$$"Am I the only one who can see the problem this may cause?
Great blog. Here is my blog http://judiemichelle88.blog.com/. There is some knowledge about rolex replica and Replica watches. I expect any comments on my blogs and I assume others may do so, too. So I try to leave comments on others' blogs when I see an interesting Rolex. But I can't find all the blogs which may interest me, so I may have missed some. Adding comments on others' blog is a good way to communicate with each other. Thanks.

That is just "where do you live now" as opposed to the "where were your born/where did you grow up" that Home town asks.
