"Why the adoption in such accelerating numbers by people who (one would hope) are less inclined to toss virtual sheep at each other and turn their friends into vampires?"In my experience, they are not any less inclined than young people to send a ridiculous number of requests for virtual gardening, Mafia Wars, virtual flowers, Pass A Drink, Candy Shop...*sigh* The more people who join FB, the more apps I find myself blocking...
An interesting question from a crappy article. It somehow wants to tie in the increase of older people/parents on FB with the economy, which is just plain stupid.
It's a social network. Also, last time I checked, none of us are getting any younger.The worst thing that can happen to Fbook is a bunch of pre-teen girls spamming apps and chain mail everywhere. If my 50 year old dad having a Fbook account stops it from becoming Myspace, then I welcome them.That being said. Ideally FB would be only our high school/college friends, rather then older members of our family. It's a nice way to keep in touch.

In VKontakte social network you will find multi-million library containing free mp3 files, you can listen on-line to whatever you feel like without any limitations, and believe me, there is plenty to listen to (take a look at the screen shot bellow). It is unbelievably simple – following the registration (<a class="user" href="http://vk.com/reg5240984)" rel="nofollow">http://vk.com/reg5240984)</a> (absolutely free) in the search field simply enter audio files search, and VIOLA, you have found your happiness! I suppose advanced users don't need an explanation as to how files are downloaded.
