Not surprised, but I'm as fascinated by this as I am concerned...

I though it was PHP for Hypertext Pre-Processor. It doesn't PROCESS HTML, it PROCESSES PHP into HTML.

First of all, if you don't like it, then don't use Facebook. Secondly, and more importantly, many websites record your clicks - maybe not EVERY click - but a large number of clicks nonetheless. It is relatively easy to implement from a technical perspective. In the case of Facebook, it is a little uncomfortable because you are logged in as yourself rather than just an anonymous visitor on another website where you can view content without logging in...

Workers who are happy because they have been drinking do not always make better work.

Bulls**t.Aside from the fact that there are PHP optimizers that ALREADY compile the PHP to bytecode and store it (which I have to assume they already use), the bottleneck whilst accessing any given page on Facebook (or any other data-driven website) is the DATABASE, not the PHP. Unless Facebook's PHP pages are running on the order of 50x slower than the database queries (keeping in mind that in every other instance on the face of the planet, it usually runs anywhere from 2-20+ times FASTER), there's no way this magical Hyper PHP is going to reduce page load times to 1/5th, or even BY 1/5th.The Rumpus is a reliable news source, huh?

I don't believe you can delete your account. I believe you can only make your account inactive.
