news.cnet.com — Facebook has confirmed my earlier suspicion that it has disabled two of the five Holocaust denial groups whose presence has caused much controversy over the past week, following attorney Brian Cuban's consistent pressure for the groups' removal.

crazy analogy. a person doesn't have to be told water exists. a person has to be told the holocaust happened.

"is a private company"funny how people pick and choose when being a private company matters and when it doesn't depending on their bias.although i agree with your point im sure tomorrow there will be a story where private ownership rights don't matter.

Facebook can do whatever they wish, but limiting Freedom of Speech is scary.Disbelieving the Holocost is, in my opinion, a bit wacky ... but hey, people believe in UFOs also, Facebook is not filtering them out.

I am very sure that if you or any of your close family members had gone through the Holocaust or had been a part of/died in 9-11 you wouldn't have so many righteous and equal ideals in mind. And as you said, making a group advocating lies isn't wrong, they have the right to do so. So why should people making a group advocating the "lie" of God be wrong? Most Christian groups (except the radical ones, but from what I've seen on Digg not just the radical ones are targeted) don't tell anyone who isn't a part of their faith to do anything, and they sure as hell don't force anyone to believe in God. Even people who are a part of their Church are free to leave any time they want. And they don't try to brainwash anyone. Asking people to listen a bit about their religion isn't brainwashing, its the same thing as someone who wants to teach others about a non-religious cause standing on a street talking about their cause. Now of course this doesn't apply to radicals, but frankly I refuse to to acknowledge that they have any connection to me or my faith at all. At least in regards to Christianity, the Bible (New Testament) makes it pretty clear that its a religion of peace, and as such you shouldn't be going around forcing people to do anything. They can't be compared in the same breath as ordinary Christians who go to work, come back home, and don't usually give a flying f**k about going to their neighbors and preaching about God.
