anybody else read this review and think they were comparing this laptop to other laptops? this laptop is made for 3rd world countries . not for americans. lets have a 3rd world country child review this...
Fox News has fairly balanced news reporting, it is their opinion programming (like O'Reilly Factor) that can be considered right leaning. But they are pretty up front about it. Personnally when I read articles on news sites, I usually go and find the same story on Foxnews.com to get the extra details that are typically left out by other sources. Usually something like a murder suspect is reported as a "New Mexico resident with a criminal history" on say CNN.com, while fox news will report that this was an illegal immigrant with a criminal record in Mexico. The example that sticks out most in my mind is when CNN's TV station reported that 90% of Guantanimo Bay detainee's claimed they were innocent of their accused terrorist involvement, and presenting this figure as if it represented a realistic picture as to the guit/innocence of the detainee's as a whole. After the story I turn the channel to Fox News and they show the same story, but include one additional detail, that typicaly 90% of all prison inmates in all prisons say they are innocent of their crimes. That seemed like a relavent detail and lived up to the "We Report You Decide" claim. Shame on CNN for intentionally leaving that out (how did they know about the criminal history, if they didn't already know the rest?)
Imagine AK-47 armed guerillas in Nigeria, Somalia, Peru pillaging vilages just to get this item and then sell it back to 1st and 2nd world. Why? Because YOU like it. Instead of building infrastructure and basic necessities like drainage and housing. A laptop!?
Thanks for reminding me why I don't get PCMag anymore. He talks about Internet porn and spamming, but these kids have never seen a computer before. . . somehow I doubt they have the Internet as I'm pretty sure you need a computer for that. And also. . . yeah, you can use the Internet to find out how to make a bomb (or just about anything else for that matter). But then again, you could learn that from books.
