gwn.com — MSNBC's new article: 'People like Thompson are essentially feeding off the fears of those who don't understand games. Everyone wants a simple solution for a massively complex problem. For those who didn't grow up playing video games, the appeal of a game like "Counter-Strike" can be hard to comprehend. The game promotes communication and team work.

That's because it's MSnbc, it's owned by Microsoft, that's why they admit Thompson is wrong, they always have. Until I see Fox or CNN admitting Thompson is a liar, I won't be impressed.

Well written article! I think it's because currently there are more people who haven't grown up playing video games than those who have. in about 10-30 years, i expect the common idea of video games will be very different because by then, the parents, grandparents, almost everyone will have grown up with video games.

Has Jack Thompson ever considered that a lot of people who do play video games, also suck at video games?

"buried as duplicate" is the stupidest commentary I read on Digg.Shut up already. Your insipid commentary is what's duplicated.

Everybody keeps using the "Republican" thing. Joe Lieberman (a democrat) spews the same bulls**t. Thompson and Lieberman are trying to do the same to video games as Tipper Gore (a democrat) did to music in the 80's. Stupidity is a disease, not a political party.
