naturalnews.com — The FDA's test results, which the agency hid from the public and only released after the Associated Press filed a Freedom of Information Act request. Up to 90 percent of the infant formula sold in the United States may be contaminated with trace amounts of melamine, the toxic chemical linked to kidney damage, according to recent tests.

No, they didn't say zero tolerance at all. They said that a safe level could not be established, which is science-speak for "we don't have enough evidence to establish a specific level." This doesn't mean that a safe level doesn't exist, just that more research needs to be done before being entirely sure of where it should be. People perceived this as zero tolerance, which is impossible because there's no way to remove all traces of a contaminant.Zero tolerance also doesn't make sense because melamine isn't even that dangerous in the world of toxins. There are far more dangerous toxins that do have an acceptable level set.

TMYK. Fair enough, but in this case I'm more worried about artificial pesticides, to be a little more clear. Although, I've read that natural pesticides are allowed in organic products, and that they may be just as bad at times.

We have to start somewhere and make an example. If leaders see that we sue the most powerful and corrupt family on the planet; The Bush Crime Family, then they might worry a bit.No, Bush put these unbelievably inept and/or corrupt cronies in positions that are supposed to protect us so that they could ruin these agencies. This incident directly leads from that -- and it makes Bush responsible for Melanine related deaths and injuries.

Wow, that attitude is really going to make a change; don't hold Bush accountable, because Obama "might" be as bad.If Obama acts like Bush, I'll be leading the charge to impeach him. Until then, let's give him a break OK?Feingold has been a champion and a hero. The McCain/Feingold amendment was only wrong for not closing loop holes.I agree that Repugs and Dems are corrupt -- but what the Repugs did was treason. Let's start there.

Bullhead2007,Well, if we wait for everything to be perfect -- we will be waiting forever.I'm a Kucinich fan -- but Bush created this environment. Until an example is made of him, its a lot easier to point the finger there. If we weed out a few of the VERY corrupt, then we can go after the marginally corrupt. But we can't do this without the Democrats, may they spend a day or two in purgatory.
