Call me crazy but, I don't think I would ever give any personal or financial information to anyone soliciting employment oppurtunities over the web. The most I have done is take part in phone call interviews. If someone sent me an email asking for my bank account or wire transfer any money anywhere I would never reply.

In other words....have a little common sense. "Yeah if you could just add your bank account information to this employment application..."

My wife has been looking for a Nanny job on craigslist and she recently got a very suspicious not to mention weird email. Of course we ignored it but reading this article makes me think it most likely is one of those scams. Here's what she got:-------------------Hello Nanny,I am Mrs sandra Banks. i work with linkrosoft Limited. A networking software company in the uk. I would be moving down to the US in the next 3 weeks and i would like to get a nanny / child care expert for my kid her name is harriet 3 years of age. She cute and very wonderful. Her mother is with me. So i wont be able to take care of her that much as i wont have time. The reason for coming to the US is to be able to handle payments from our clients in the US. And its my first time to the US so i dont know how things work over there. And i would like you to tell me the days and specific time period you would be avaliable. And if you have any other jobs you are doing at the moment. But i would really treat the nanny thats gonna take care of my precious little girl very well. I would be staying in a 3 bedroom that the company would be paying for and i would also have a car to myself during my stay. I would like nanny to take my kid around and show her nice places and let her have fun during our stay. And the company is going to be the one paying for your services. So they request you to either open an account so you salary can sent into the account or sent to you via check. So its up to you to decide whichever you like. And as we get to mail each other i would tell you something very special. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Mrs Sandra Banks.
