Just why do you think they hired a Mexican in the first place? All minorities that make it that high in the government are fall guys. That's why the put the yellowcake in Powell's hand and why they gave his job to another black person. They knew there would be blowback from the lies they were spinning and they planned to pin it on him far ahead of the discovery of the truth; that there were no WMDs. Same for the attorney firings. Gonzalez was stupid enough to think that he could be second-class and still be in the inner circle. So siree. Sadaam made that mistake; look where it got him. Now let's see if Gonzalez gets a pardon after his conviction.

Desperate?Considering all the things they are letting go you call them desperate?If they were desperate they would have started impeachment preceedings on Bush and Cheney, They would've stopped funding for the war and set up impeachment for Gonzales. The fact that they are still just thinking about impeachment for Gonzales shows how non desperate they are. Gonzales on the other hand looks like a little 6 year old trying to weasel out of trouble... Snow says hes speaking consistently after two direct contradictions came from Gonzales' mouth.... talk about desperate
