telegraph.co.uk — A bid to set a new world record for the number of women being photographed wearing bikinis in one place failed, after only 42 of the required 1,924 turned up. Even though the motivation was to get donation for a Hospital, it did not work.

@ben - same reason you are responsible for the education and protection of people you have never met. Or perhaps they should be each individuals responsibility too. No schools, no police, no roads.@cry - thing is, we don't have to gamble with our health care. we never have to worry about what care we or our our parents can afford. And our care is cheaper.

how many men turned out to watch?

The ones that didn't turn up probably had a headache.

Nobodies playing Robin Hood. We pay about the same amount of tax as the US, have the same opportunities and freedoms, we're just better off because we have a better system. We do have poverty and prisons and violent deaths, but not on the obscene scale that the US has. Every person is valued and will be helped, even if they are poor.

I personally find the U.S. Tax rate to be excessive. If it gets to the point where I am losing over 40% per pay period, I am quitting my job, and they can just live without my tax revenue. I have no problem with all these programs to help the poor, like welfare, social security and medicare, but I should not be forced to participate, if these programs are really so great, let people choose to be a part of them. How am I free if I have no choice about how to spend my money that I EARNED with my own blood and sweat. And don't give me this crap about how I am fortunate to be a high earner. Let me explain something to you, I didn't get where I am by accident. And all these poor people you feel so bad for are in their situations because they are to lazy to work hard. So I don't feel sorry for them. Making a good living in this life is simple, you work hard all the time, and you are rewarded. You don't and you starve. Well, that's how it should be, nowdays the government rewards people for sitting on their asses all day, and punishes those who work hard by taxing them at a higher rate. I for one am getting sick of it.
