gadling.com — Taxiing from gate in Geneva, Switzerland on SWISS Air Lines we were informed that due to some volcanic burps from the bane of Europe, Eyjafjallajokull, our flight to JFK would be an hour longer, as we would have to fly north of the Iceland ash cloud. To be precise, the actual volcano doesn't even have a name of its own. Eyjafjallajökull literally means the glacier of the mountain on the island. And the volcano is under that glacier, so it's "The mountain-island glacier's volcano".
