Very impressive- I've got the freebie "Stanza" and I'd pay a couple bucks for the interface demonstrated here- as long as we can download new books beyond what comes with it.

I love the instapaper iphone app and its integration with the online service and I read a lot on my iphone. This app is looking pretty good. I just worry about Phil Ryu being involved. Doesn't that mean the app won't get supported after a few months when he flits over to a new project?

but does it do pdfs, or do you get content from them?

We're sending this into Apple this weekend, so barring any unusual delays, we should be on the store sometime next week.

Actually the screen size is perfect for reading. Also, there are millions of free conversion tools to get ebooks of any format converted to another so that shouldn't stop you. But certainly a universal format would be nice as it would reduce a step.

This is what Apple should have done from day one: Offer all e-books at Amazon and Google etc. in a lovely booklike app like this. I would have put all available books in there. Lovely interface and excellent feel about the whole app.
