eh as much as I hate IE, I dont see why the f**k Microsoft should do this. A monopoly is something that makes it impossible (or damn near impossible) for another company to compete. Such as mah Bell did back when they owned all the copper. Now that was a monopoly. Now if MS blocked you from installing FF, safari etc..THAT would be monopolistic..preinstalling their product? not so much.Seeing how Firefox is already cutting a very nice chunk into browser usage, I don't see how any intelligent person could call what MS is doing monopolistic simply based on that fact alone.I mean s**t should google offer an option to use other search engines from their page?

Should Microsoft also have a Wizard for which explorer you would like to use too? There are several other Windows Explorer programs available to use. What about media player too. And calculator.Heck, how about when installing Windows if gives you a Wizard to choose OSX or every flavour of Linux too.

@nite. I'm truly amazed by the lack of thinking that your question entails. Ask yourself, how do you get the OS in the first place and you will have your answer.

They want IE to include everyone elses, or none at all. Not to mention, they'll be able to sell versions at stores, if it's not sold on the OS (like MS and Netscape did in early internet days). It'll never happen. Apple will have to quit including safari and so-on.
