I've owned a Toshiba DVD player, and if the level of thought and quality they put into that holds true for their HD-DVD units then Sony doesn't have much to worry about.

The Toshiba HD-DVD players have fantastic build quality. We'll see if that holds true for the second generation models coming out this month. Sony of course hasn't even released their first generation Blu-Ray player yet.

I went to best buy this weekend for the hell of it. They had like 25+ hddvd movies on the shelf. and like 10 bluray movies. They had more freaking UMD movies than bluray.
