macworld.com — "First, let me say this. The iPhone looks incredible. I want one. Same with Apple TV. Beyond that, though, I was terribly disappointed by this year’s keynote. We had a two-hour presentation that basically covered two devices (and of those, the Apple TV had maybe 15 minutes of attention). So what didn’t we hear about?..."

I don't think it's a 'full' version of OS X. It's more likely a cut down version. Kinda like linux for x86 vs. linux on phones.

I think the lack of ilife, iwork, and Leopard was a demonstration of Apple, Inc. Apple introduced two new products that showed them as much more than a computer company, but an electronic company. In the future, we may see Apple announcing new mac products hardware/software separate from their electronic products.Just a thought.

Come on, it would be a bad idea to spend more than 2 hours on a keynote. Best to use maximum exposure for the newest product for maximum effect. I hope this signifies Apple moving based making a big deal about incremental hardware upgrades, and sticks with new product releases and significant updates in public settings. I think this was done well, it simply shocked a lot of people with something well beyond expectations and got the media limelight. That means that when they decide to make announcement regarding Leopard, the media will probably take more notice and they might just still some limelight away from Vista.

I love the iPod and I'll probably love (and buy) the iPhone, BUT THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE MACWORLD, NOT IPHONEWORLD OR IPODWORLD.I'm starting to get very pissed off when Apple holds off on Mac news at Macworld Expo. They probably have many Mac-related new products, but wanted the iPhone to take center stage. But I can't even buy it now!!!And what if I want a wide-screen video iPod? Do I have to buy a phone and sign a contract with Cingular just to watch my movies?I really don't like this. I'll probably stop traveling to SF for Macworld Expo if this s**t continues.
