Not everybody in /linux_unix/ is a Linux guru. I read it from time to time just to see what the news is with Linux. I don't use it, myself, nor am I familiar with the commands. So something like this is useful to others.

Poor usage examples. Most unices don't accept options in the places they're telling you to put them (at the end of the command statement.)

Apt-get isn't linux wide, so title isn't quite right...1) apt-get, yum, etc. from the command line is awesome as long as you know the name of the package. Using the command line to search for and find packages is not something a linux newbie would be comfortable with.Rest) A newbie is going to be confused about how to type in file names (the slashes aren't like in windows) and when/how to use command switches. Neither of which is explained very well.
