engadget.com — We're told Courier will function as a "digital journal," and it's designed to be seriously portable: it's under an inch thick, weighs a little over a pound, and isn't much bigger than a 5x7 photo when closed.

I agree completely. A Wacom Tablet owner myself, I have always coveted the multi-grand device that let's the user draw right on the pressure sensitive screen. To find the function in a table would be bliss!

RE: " .. That's the difference between Microsoft and Apple. Microsoft shows you some make believe 3D computer animation vaporware .. "Good point, and this really does show which company is a marketing company, and which company is a tech company.Microsoft are the king of marketing vaporware.

Nice. Looks like what I expect the future to look like.

Lots of examples here where two screens aren't needed, but are used to support MS' chief differentiator - two screens. And what's with the pinch to close the address book? This gesture is universally the multitouch "shrink" command. The reverse pinch, expand. But MS now makes it a scatter. Oy, I know you're the 800 lb. gorilla in computing, but trying to change the language so late in the game takes some serious stones...But it's good that it has a camera. Apple - no iPad for me until you add the camera...

I expected it to be an image of dummy text written in Microsoft's "Courier New" typeface. With such low expectations, the image shown was actually pretty cool. (But I still think the typography joke will show up soon.)

My asus 900a netbook cost $200, I upgraded the SD to 16gb, 2gb ram ($100) and installed windows 7 on it (runs great / another $100). If they can beat the $400 mark with something like this, I'm sold. If not I'd rather keep my netbook and the full OS.

It seems like they updated it from the original release, so I'm hoping that this is going to be real. And if it can do everything that they claim that would be the best and I would go out and buy it.All I want it a tablet/portable device I can write on.

Being a lefty...I keep thinking to myself...how would this work if you're not right handed.
