DIGG Killer!

I ran out of edit time, but News is not the way to redeem themselves. As a 16 year old, I look around at some of my peers on myspace and realize what self absorbed unintelligent people they are (thankfully not too many of my friends). They don't care about the news. Myspace is for posting stupid bulletins and cloning themselves by taking unoriginal I-try-to-hard-to-be-trendy pictures. If you were to ask them something as simple as who's running for president in 08 they would have no idea. Myspace is trying desperately to innovate but they're doing the wrong things.

i agree. this is fox's opportunity to distort young people's minds who don't tune into their news channel. i do think this idea may have more of an impact than people want to think it will. my girlfriend, for instance, won't really turn to digg for news because she doesn't want to get stuck on another site. myspace has a strong base of social gathering already established, with all sorts of ages. having news in the digg format on myspace will be something those on myspace will digg. and it's not that i'm a big myspace fan, but digg users have passed around photos of fat chicks (later determined to have been photoshopped) and just made fun of her. is that any more mature than the average mypsace user you're tring to put down because they are sticking to what's trendy now?

I can only imagine the garbage that fox news will put up there. Combine that with random myspace "news" and it will be unreadable.

Why is it that Myspace always looks like its running on a screen-space deficit?I mean seriously, the chunks of space taken up by each module on a Myspace page (the front page, the user page, any page) looks the ***exact same way*** on both 1024x768 and 1280x800.This doesn't look *any* different.

Soon people will be scratching their heads trying to figure out how it was possible for such a large series of tubes to asphyxiate.

Hopefully they will include an RSS feed reader for profiles. This would add a great deal of functionality.
