yeah, the iPhone is like god: although no one has proof it does (or will ever) exist, people have talked so much about it that the idea is very real and the control of the name alone is worth money. Logical move on Apple's part.

@Ireland,You can call it the Motorola ROKR. (In case you've been asleep, the "iPhone" - a.k.a. ROKR - was released 13 months ago to little fanfare.) Without any full understanding or knowledge of the actual agreement Apple and Motorola made, I can only guess as to what would happen if Apple chose to release a phone that wasn't badged by Motorola. Thus, an iPhone(tm) that calls your friends and has a 100GB solid-state drive will not be in our future anytime soon.
