dev.wp-plugins.org — I got tired of waiting 24 hours for my AW-Stats to update the statistics for my WordPress Blog, so I went out in search of a plug-in to record the hits to my blog. I came across ShortStat. ShortStat gives you detailed stats in an easy to digest fashion. Just upload/activate and you have stats!

I use Google Analytics as well, but I like this because it updates live, instead of waiting 24 hours.

"Is he reffering to the same Awstats statistics package that has "Last Update: [date here]" and then an "Update now" link which lets you update the stats immediatly so you don't have to wait the 24 hours? Heh."Yep, that's the one, except my host does not provide the update now option, looks like is just set to update every 24 hr, which, again, is why I liked ShortStat.

I had been using ShortStat for a while and finally stopped using it as I noticed it is slowing down my blog. I use pMetrics now.<a class="user" href="http://www.seifi.org/ajax/advanced-blog-stats-from-pmetrics.html">http://www.seifi.org/ajax/advanced-blog-stats-from-pmetrics.html</a>
