I remember this site a few years back and I used to know the owner. It's very indepth and to the point. Someone posted it here and when I loaded up the Revolution history page all I could do was think about http://www.axess.com/twilight/console/ So glad to see someone submitted the link. You wanna know where modern controllers got their design? Just take a look at the NES Max. I used to go over to a friend's house just so I could play with this thing.http://www.axess.com/twilight/console/detail/nes_max.html

This article had way too many important controllers missing. NES Advantage anyone? It was also misleading as far as the original developer of the analog controller. Sega made that popular with their 3d controller bundled with Knights Into Dreams.

Personally, the N64 and GameCube controllers feel great. For some reason, the buttons on the GameCube feel like the right size, unlike the Xbox controller. I do miss the z-trigger and I wish that was on the GameCube controller. The WaveBird was a godsend. I know I spent a good 3 minutes or so untangling cords. I like the Genesis controller over the SNES, just feels better in my hands. I can't stand any of the Playstation controllers, they are too small and the analog controller sticks do not feel right at all. +Digg
