It's not really that old, and it still looks pretty impressive even by today's standards. A real sequel would be cool though, not like the console games they released and not like far cry 2.

I'll give FreeCol a try. There is a well-made version of Privateer, the space exploration game from the 1990s, available from sourceforge.

Love the classics. When they make them better, it always provides something new to tangle with for awhile.
