They need a new title for the Emperor's guards in Star Wars fandom. They call them *Royal* guards but how exactly is Palpatine royal? He didn't have a wife/queen, to my knowledge or a royal bloodline (especially since Naboo elected its "queen"). The only reason why Vader was called "Lord Vader" is because he was a Sith Lord, not because the Empire instituted a feudalistic system...
