Kudos to those working to educate consumers on the pitfalls of SEO scams. There are plenty of malicious people out there willing to profit from people's general ignorance about SEO. The more articles like this that are published, the more likely people are to educate themselves BEFORE hiring an SEO. We will all benefit from there being less general ignorance regarding the field of SEO.
There's some great SEO information on the market; you just have to weed through it to get to the good stuff. The bottom line is engaging content, solid meta tags, and others who are willing to link to your site. All of this has to be legitimate; and it takes quality time. Don't try to fool Google! The algorithm always catches up.
I totally agree with this article. It isn't just the companies in India, its the shady "get rich quick" schemes promising to teach you how to make money on the internet. You can't learn this stuff by paying someone $99.95 to learn the secret "dark art" of SEO. I wrote a similar article based on my experiences here: http://alohanewmedia.com/hawaii-seo/hawaii-seo-sec ...

Good information. Good SEO services will always be around. As long as the Google Algorithm keeps watch, there's money to be made in understanding its language.http://worldartdecor.org

Had one tell me that all the tools being used by his company were proprietary and that they had ?back end access to Google? which allowed them to have new information daily about my website.http://blog.planetc1.com/2007/08/29/you-give-searc ...
