Any word on if this is less laggy and jittery than the last beta? Last I tried, spaceships were getting stuck sideways into the landing pads and space combat was secondary to shipboard combat because it was so damn hard to hit someone.
Theres a mod in X3 reunion that adds the ships from Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, and quite a few other genres. Really really steep learning curve but well worth it. You can get X3 through Steam.
I played beta1, it was a bit laggy (didn't know if it was my crappy computer or the whole fact that it was just a beta). I'll download it later and hopefully it'll be fixed, since it has great potential.
