I absolutely love Dropbox. I've been using it quite a while now and it's a great solution. I work on three different PCs and this way I never have to worry if the current version of a file is available. Plus with Web access, I can always get a file, even if Dropbox isn't installed on that particular computer. I also use it to share files with two other co-workers. Works flawlessly. I only wish the Pro version was a little less expensive. Dropbox is better than Mozy or Carbonite, but also quite a bit more costly. Worth it? Yes.
It also does Remote Desktop Connection very well. You can sync and access your files from Windows Mobile, but not from iPhone... I think Live Mesh is actually one of the best under-hyped free products out there.Oops, I mean f**k MICRO$OFT! WINDOZE = EPIC FAIL!!!
For those that use MobileMe I have a comparison to Dropbox, which is a very good storage choice (if you can live without MobileMe email). Consider for heavy users MobileMe costs $99/yr = 20GB of space. Compare with Dropbox $120/yr = 50GB of space. It is much easier to upload via Dropbox since it runs in the background of your desktop or laptop and syncs after changes are made. To get close to that storage size with MobileMe you would need to pay Apple $149/yr = 40GB of space, 10GB less than the $120/yr option for Dropbox and the choice is pretty simple. I use MobileMe and there are good and bad things about it. For storage Dropbox easily beats MobileMe in ease of use and cost. It just doesn't look as pretty.

Simple: irrational favoritism of an alternative to Microsoft products.

I always wonder why Dropbox is not popular. I just love Dropbox , easy to share files online.
