@DonCarcharo: Of course the iPad will have a "niche" Every Apple product has a "niche" If Apple had to rename itself tomorrow to something more descriptive of their products, it would probably be called Niche.The question is how big of a niche is it. It's looking incredibly narrow from here. If the Digg crowd, which regularly squeals over the vaguest of Mac rumors, isn't excited about this product I think there's a fair chance it's already in trouble.
seriously, not having a physical keyboard for a device made specifically with a multi touch interface is just a nit pick. i bet you guys cried when the iMac didn't have a floppy drive too.
Edit: They WILL be able to set it on a coffee table and watch a movie on it. The iPad folding case looks like it will add a lot of value for movie watching and for typing.
Too bad battery life statistics are ALWAYS inflated and carrying a keyboard with you everywhere you go completely negates any advantage the thing might have had over a laptop (which was already a very, very short list).
