I'd like one of the new mac mini's to replace my existing mini, but can't afford it right now- I'll probably pick it up when I get my LCD TV and Bently. Oh yeah- that that $100 leather case.
http://www.apple.com/ipodhifi/specs.htmlThey don't even list the power ratings for the amplifiers in the iPod Hi-Fi, on the detailed "Tech Specs" page. Yikes. Obviously not too proud of the number. Apple's going to kind of need to tell most people the power rating before they even begin to think about getting one for $349. That kind of cash can buy a very respectable and powerful stereo receiver and good budget bookshelf speakers, ones that will annihilate the sound from this cheesefest, I'm afraid. It doesn't even have tweeters, for Pete's sake.Runs on D batteries as well, which is your first clue that not many are going to be replacing their stereo systems with this.I get a definite Bose vibe from looking at this product. That's not a good thing. "No highs, no lows, must be Bose".

whats the point of the mini for $800 if you can get an imac for $1199 with a core duo processor?
