No, I work all over the country for a large national and have tried all networks and spoken to many many people in the 17 yrs I've been using cellphones, there is absolutely no question that Vodafone has the best coverage in the UK, it's common knowledge.

I don't use a case and as I put in my post, I have tried other network SIMS (I only unlocked it last week to see whether it was the phone or the network - it turned out to be both) in my iPhone and have tried my O2 SIM in other phones. I have also tried a friends iPhone with the same results, all of which lead to me to the above conclusions. I have had my iPhone since July and it has failed me in crucial situations where other phones have not and I can no longer take the risk.I have now gone back to my old MS Trinity, using the O2 SIM, which is currently showing 3 bars where the iPhone on O2 had been showing none. My girlfriends Orange SIM is now in my iPhone which is flicking between 1,2 and no bars where the same SIM in her N96 was showing 5 bars. I''m going to wait and see if the next iPhone is better, so won't replace it until I have a go with the new one in June

You can argue all day long about which has better apps, who delivers the apps better, etc. But the bottom line is there are thousands more apps for WinMo. It's been out for many more years and all of the barriers that Apple put in place to restrict and limit iphone developers don't exist for WinMo. Anyone with a computer can develop their own app and anyone else can install it. No request for permission to develop apps, no permission to sell/distribute it, no limits on where it can sold/distributed, no abrupt removal for violating some made up rules.

9 months ago they had nearly as many as the iphone has today and that doesn't include individual applications that anyone with a computer can develop for themselves. http://www.informationweek.com/blog/main/archives/ ...As for "consistency", that has nothing to do with the number of apps available. Regardless, I don't understand your point about consistency. Windows Mobile runs on lots of devices which is a GOOD thing because it means there is competition which keeps hardware prices low and apps work on any Windows Mobile device. What exactly are you complaining about there?
