techcrunch.com — Today, Facebook is making some improvements to its video-sharing service. The quality will be bumped up to 720p. The key change, though, is that the videos will now be embeddable on other sites. You can determine exactly who can see any video you upload. Those privacy settings will be maintained across the Web.

Facebook quality was never bad though. The compression was never sub-par at all. it always buffered extremely well and i believe currently has near-DVD or DVD quality video. my 640x480 video shot with my Canon always came out very well. and loaded fast.

True. I uploaded a video last week and was amazed there was no quality degradation

720p?? Nice! The video quality was dreadfully crappy before. Now, they need to improve the photo quality.I guess this means we'll have to re-upload our videos now if we want them to show up in HD??
