sethgodin.typepad.com— Seth Godin has come up with an email check list that you should share with a select few in your address book (you know who they are!) out of mercy for all of the people in THEIR address book!

I think #16 pretty much says it all - I would just add "or your Mom". If you wouldn't mind the whole world seeing your email with a photo of you beside it, then by all means send it. Regarding cc's. I'm an info junkie so I don't mind the extra noise in my in-box, it gives me a better sense of what's going on in the company and how things interconnect even if not immediately relevant to what I'm doing. It's better than not being included and finding out later that someone has made a decision that adversely impacts what I'm doing.
I want to add to #26. Am I forwarding someone else's mail, or adding new recipients to my reply? (If so, will all of the previous contributors to the thread be happy when they find out?)
Great list, my fav is # 13 while the one I disagree with is #20. Unlike what Seth or many other people may think, this is no longer a political statement.
Correction: docx. I've had plenty of people come to me for help when they couldn't figure out why they couldn't open a Word document. Of course, people who blindly send out .docx files probably don't even know how to convert them to pdf.

Regarding #24 in that list, there are no such files in existence.
