And I run plenty of KDE apps under Gnome as well. There's no issue with that (except maybe for theming, if you care a lot about the aesthetics of your desktop environment).

According to the Ubuntu Forums, it looks like Edgy won't be quite so Edgy. Any word on improvements to suspend and hibernation support? Both of these are key to laptop users. I run Dapper on my laptop, but suspend currently doesn't work on it. I'm receiving a second laptop tomorrow which a friend informs me works with suspend, but we shall see.

Well, I'm really sorry. I'm not a very good writer. But I never meant for this to be on digg. Someone who thought my article was very nice, put it up on digg. Once again, I'm sorry it wasn't helpful to you. As for the "About" dialogs showing version numbers, that was a shot at showing the latest GNOME versions in Eft as of the article's date.

I'd really love to get rid of the retarded animations for minimising windows in gnome. And I don't mean enabling low resources with metacity. It's a dumb idea and should be removed.
