I would so buy these!

because pressure isn't square. the pressure from the carbonation would just bulge the square design of the bottle. specially when it is shaken.
emildorbellMar 30, 2010
Yup. All the fat diggers are burying you though. Hang in there!
boutdemcanes91Mar 30, 2010
Yeah homeboy, you need something bulgy for carbonated drinks or else it will expand. I don't even like science or are a science student, that's just basic high school stuff.

f**k yeah, this means we can take whiskey to school in actual whiskey bottles, and just tell the teacher it's coke :D

These will never come around in my lifetime and f**k babyman.

Nothing will make Coke ecological. Just drink safe filtered tap water.Coke takes water (sometimes poisoned with pesticides) from all sorts of places including some that suffer from a lack of safe water available to the people. They add sweetener (typically High Fructose Corn Syrup), food coloring, caffeine, etc. and then create bottles out of toxic oil and put in their fluid for your drinking pleasure. And that's before you even consider the Human Rights problems.

Or, we could just not drink coca cola or other plastic-bottled products. 3,000,000 bottles of coke sold per day? Really?

What's weird though is the Cola Lite is so much better than Diet Coke.

As popular as Coke is, they would avoid this design because "it can slip out of your hand." I would say that for a bottle to be changed to this "future look" would take 5 to 10 years, if not longer. Additionally, Coke's Brand is tied to the current shape of the bottle. In Marketing it's not so much what "should" or "could" be done, as much as it is "what people want and are comfortable with."

Ok a couple complaints - Apple and Mini have nothing to do with Coke. Nothing. This person is trying to show that their bottle design will have the same type of cultural impact. For plastic used per volume, round is much more efficient. The current bottle design is actually not bad, and although the square bottles could be packed more tightly, They will use more plastic for the same volume of liquid (about 12% more plastic, if you compare a cylinder to a cube). If you want to compromise, consider a hexagon - they pack tightly while using very little more surface area than a circle. Also consider that in order to use square bottles, Coca Cola would have to manufacture new plastic crates for distributing them. These crates are already good for the environment because they are reused thousands of times during their lifetime, as opposed to cardboard and plastic boxes that are disposed of after a single use. Six Flags Over Texas, for example, can easily go through hundreds of thousands of these bottles in a year, so you're looking at a lot of extra infrastructure in order to distribute a new bottle.

should avoid small size bottle to be use. It'll help the amount usage of bottle too.
