inhabitat.com — To celebrate their launch, the network built a 16-foot-high sculpture of a mother polar bear and her cub stranded on an iceberg. Also meant to increase awareness about the plight of the polar bear and their dwindling habitat as a result of climate change, the sculpture was sent to float down the Thames river.

Bring the polar bears here we have over 130 inches of snow so far this year! They will be right at home!Didn't the polar bear population go up over the last few years?

I hope this does increase awareness. There's nothing sadder than seeing the poor bears having to go long distances between ice floes.
