Does anybody know if there are plans for a wider release of this film?I wish I could find a .torrent or an online stream. In my opinion, this should be one of those films which support the idea of being pirated or distributed for free. Wish this were the case, already.

I believe that the movie is just another way of getting information out there, so people can make their own decisions, if we didn't get the information we would be misinformed like what happens in China, etc, where information is controlled, thankfully in free countries like ours, we have an informed chance.. Can we change the cycle of global warming, is a good question. My answer to this is, yes, car emissions cause global warming, and the heat is held in by this gas, but why are we getting hotter, I personally believe that it is because of the black highways, or asphalt, and all the black on roofs, anything black will become alot hotter and then this heat is also trapped in. So I think the first step to stopping global warming is to make everything white, roads and asphalt, roofs etc etc. You just have to see how hot a road gets in the summer, to the point of becoming soft and sticky to understand the physics involved, black attracts heat, it's that simple. Now snow is turning darker because of all the pollutants and is melting faster, again black attracts heat and all this heat is trapped in. Turn down the heat would be the first step to stop global warming. Pass a law to turn all asphalt white. Why is asphalt black.....so snow melts on contact and faster in colder climates, but now too much black asphalt is working too well and turning up the heat too fast.

Why, BassCadet! What you suggest would be strong evidence for rational thought in the human race, which I've basically given up on ;-)

@makrormesher - First, the electric cars being produced today are not cheaper in the long run. They cost more up front, cost less to run but then make up for it when you have to replace the batteries every 4 or 5 years. Also, they do not, in general, accelerate faster than gasoline powered cars. There are a FEW that accelereate faster than SOME gasoline cars. If you want to go on a cost for cost basis it isn't even close.

Hey guys,Because I believe that wikipedia is God, let me quote from it excessively to make sure we don't have to argue about certain facts ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming ):...........The atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide and CH4 have increased by 31% and 149% respectively above pre-industrial levels since 1750. This is considerably higher than at any time during the last 650,000 years, the period for which reliable data has been extracted from ice cores...About three-quarters of the anthropogenic emissions of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere during the past 20 years is due to fossil fuel burning. The rest is predominantly due to land-use change, especially deforestation [5].............The IPCC Special report on emissions scenarios gives a wide range of future carbon dioxide scenarios [8], ranging from 541 to 970 parts per million by 2100..............Modeling studies reported in the IPCC Third Assessment Report (TAR) did not find that changes in solar forcing were needed in order to explain the climate record for the last 4 or 5 decades. [12]. These studies found that volcanic and solar forcings may account for half of the temperature variations prior to 1950, but the net effect of such natural forcings has been roughly neutral since then ........If you disagree with any of this I URGE YOU to go onto wikipedia and edit the entry. If you had done so already, I would be quoting you right now, and arguing against the reality of global warming.

@RyeBrye and the other buried commentors.....actually, al gore does a regular calculation about his carbon emissions, and buys carbon credits to offset his use of jet fuel, etc. he was on last month's cover of wired, and they did a good job of showing the balance that one can take in the modern and digital world to not only care about the environment but not have to give up modern conveniences either.just saying he's a liberal hoaxer like micheal moore is insulting to your own intelligence as it is a knee jerk reaction based on your narrow minded politics (regardless of your actual left or right leanings). If you really want to save the environment, steralize your family then kill yourself... because that's a lot easier than just finding a balanced lifestyle that takes into account your impact on the world.... which isn't measured by your myspace friends, you douche.
