businessshrink.biz — On February 20th, 2008 eBay will roll out unprecedented changes to their auction format. eBay will be ending seller's abilities to leave negative feedback for buyers, opening the possibility for blackmail. Other changes to fees have also ruffled feathers, with sellers saying they will end up paying more. Sellers are boycotting Feb. 18th - Feb. 25th

When it comes to choosing who to please, Wall Street always comes first. Ebay has shareholder expectations to meet, after all. I'm a forner eBay seller, btw, i got out when things started going downhill for sellers and i see it's just gotten worse. And will GET worse.

Surprisingly enough, I've had nothing but good times both buying and selling on eBay. I've bought Warhammer models, I've bought cell phone accessories, I've bought a motorcycle visor, I've bought a Nintendo DS. I've SOLD a really expensive R/C car, I've sold an Xbox, I've sold warhammer models...Again, nothing but awesomeness. Paypal was extremely easy and quick for me, although the fees paypal deducts in accordance with the fees ebay deducts kind of makes it a loss. $15 shipping, + $10 ebay, $10 or paypal fee really adds up.On the otherhand my girlfriend has had nothing but nightmares. Broken phones, mislabeled ads, poor seller communication, etc. I guess it's hit or miss, but I personally am going to keep using eBay because it's a relatively simple, well known way for me to sell and buy goods. I've got a large number of warhammer figures I need to sell soon, and I can just take some photos, throw them all up and say "hey, who wants it? you? you take it.".

Did you take them to court to get your $1,000 back?http://smalltown.myminicity.com/

Ligament buyers connect bone buyers to bone buyers. Tendon buyers, on the other hand, connect bone buyers to *muscle* buyers.Insert intelligent design joke here.

Not ALL sellers hold feedback hostage.I give positive to a buyer as soon as payment is fully cleared.Sometime you must wait a while to be sure you dont get a fraudulent chargeback.

iOffer.com WILL let your transfer your ratings from eBay and other sites, now if they could just mature the website and database a little they might manage to compete against eBay.

eBay is a chance for modern man to trust his neighbor, a little give here, a little take there. An amazing phenomenon in our fractured world. You meet all types on eBay, too. I remember the former cop who got indignant when I questioned why my shipment was delayed. I remember the occasion when my shipment never arrived, and never got returned, and the seller credited my account anyway. The bidding wars are the worst - maybe they will do away with sniping.

ebay wants to cleanse themselves of their members and eliminate those who don’t fit managements new desired profile. during this process they have included members who have made them the successful company they once were. i am not opposed to change, change can be good, however, they have missed the mark on how far they are taking changes while losing integrity along the way. citing one recent example (there are many): the conflicting stories given for what has been named ‘mystery auction listings’ from the Shopping dot com site (sdc). Initial explanation: it was a glitch in the system, next: limited test that ran its course; then: it was an accident; finally they settled on the test excuse. do they really think everyone outside their executive offices are that stupid and can't see thru the curtain? what type of company operates in that kind of vacuum? in essence what ebay has done is to create opportunities for other companies to emerge who have welcomed buyers and sellers with respect, realistic fees, appreciation and customer service (ebay never got that concept). esty.com, online auctions.com, ioffer.com, overstock.com to name a few. ebay has spun off their own company to others and will not survive at the level demanded by stockholders and the marketplace.hmmm, did they overspend their pr and marketing budgets on all of their recent promos to drown out our noise, thus the employee layoffs?the more one thinks about everything ebay has been doing since the boycott started, the more one would have to believe that they want to create mega confusion so the stockholders will not be able to distinguish what the real problems are. eBay has long lost their integrity, in life and business they are basic requirements. we can see the wizard behind the curtain and hopefully the stockholders will too. in the meantime……~ JOIN THE eBay BOYCOTT ~ BE INFORMED ~Find your State or International Location folder and join us. Yes but unfortunately many sellers brought ebay to this point. I have seen that happen many times and I don't buy much stuff off there.

That's funny, because when I bought an item from a seller with 100% feedback and it turned out that the CD was a pirated copy (on an easily identifiable blank CD, not according to description) PayPal refused to refund me "till I attempted to settle the dispute with the seller" despite me calling and e-mailing him many times. Yes, I know its been many months but just because you've had a good run, doesn't mean everyone else has.

You might want to check out the new innovative auction website - http://www.bestebazaar.com.
here the sellers and buyers both are in a win - win situation.
bestebazaar.com is a for of auction where the price falls the whole time until someone buys it, while the price for the seller increases till the auction ends.
Sellers list their items for sale and buyers buy at the lowest price.
Image an ebay seller has posted an Ipod / laptop , etc for sale and the buyer buys it at a price lower than its retail price while the seller gets paid an amount which is higher than the retail price.
