As a former Portland resident, frequent visitor, and hopfully future Portland resident; I fundamentally disagree w/this article. There are always plenty of local Willamette, Columbia, Rogue & Yakima Valley wines available at the great restaurants where my wife and I choose to dine while visiting PDX.It's when we dine in our current home base of Chandler, AZ where we choose the more exotic - and readily available Italian and Californian wines.I consider this hype from the Oregon Wine Press to further promote great Oregon wines, but not the truth when it comes to the wine scene in Portland.
