io9.com— The beautiful title sequence to Watchmen is loaded with secret references that couldn't fit into the film (like the entire history of the Minute Men). Check what you may have missed and what got cut.

As someone below said, in the opening fight sequence with the comedian being thrown out the window the door number 1 is knocked off 3001 and it becomes 300 . Its an easter egg, it doesnt have to fit into the storyline its just there for geeks to go "oh cool I recognize that" . Its just something for the fans that are paying attention to notice.
The opera bills say "Die Fledermaus" (The Bat). It seems reasonable to assume that the posters were advertisements for the opera that was being shown, so not necessarily Batman posters.
Which I assumed was going to be hard to spot when I heard about it. Nope, there it is. Plain and obvious. Half the audience were whispering "did that say 'boys?'" when that happened.

I thought it was funny that suspected homosexual Ozymandias went into 54 with the Village People and Bowie and Jagger outside waving him in.

If there was a "liberal sensibilities" phrase thrown in here, I'd be convinced that Rorschach wrote this post.

But not at all an easter egg. He was the primary focus of that shot.

The psychiatrists briefcase had 3-0-0 as its combination when the Rorschach tests fell onto the straight. Just sayin'
