highschoolblows.blogspot.com — Those of you fortunate enough to own Final Cut Pro 4.5, or those who promote eclecticism: nested in your FCP application itself is a string that is quite out of the ordinary. This is as random as random gets.

I saw this in my 'official' 'legal' version and I thought that it was just put in thier by the whoever uploaded the torrent, from which I certainly didn't get the program. I had no Idea this was actually done by Apple."man, someone is so fired. This is a BIG no-no @ Apple."Actually, from what I have heard when jobs cracked down on easter eggs he did so because they were actually hurting the stability of the OS and the apps. But some inert String in the package contents probably is fine. As for the possablility that these quotes actally appear when running the app, I doubt it as that would really be a "BIG no-no @ Apple".other inert easter egg lie within OSx itself. For instance type cat /usr/share/calendar/calendar.history | grep "LOTR" in the terminalThere are also all of the emacs easter eggs but that isn't really from Apple

"All right, Who replaced the Oscillation OverThruster with an AutoSyncDetector?"There's a few good obscure one's in there like that one. ;p

"Digirebel: You think you are so clever with that joke. But since you seem to blindly follow you Mac-hater friends without doing any research yourself, you don't know that:Final Cut Pro for intel Macs will be released next month (March), and it will be a $49 upgrade for existing owners. "vtwin: Dude, lighten up. I hit a nerve. It's a joke. I know that you can upgrade in the "near" future. It's a damn computer with a damn operating system. I'm not insulting your family here. I'm not an apple hater, in fact their stock is flying for the most part. Sooooo, you don't think it's wrong to pay MORE money to make an application you already own to make it work? If Microsoft did this, I bet you'd be all over them. In fact, the whole reason why Windows is so messed up is because they go out of their way to avoid that. Anyway BAAAAAAAA

drugs. lots of them.

It's more likely everyone who worked on FCP submitted a single line or phrase to be hidden in the software. If you take each statement as being written by someone else, it makes sense.

@ckohlerThat's the way I took it, and it does make more sense.
