Earth's magnetic Field failing over the last 2000 years

explorations.ucsd.edu — Forget about the Ozone and Greenhouse issues. We have a bigger problem. The Earth's magnetic field, which protects us from solar radiation, is failing. Information from magnets formed over the past 3000 years, shows it's peaked and has been steadily weakening. In 500 years scientists estimate it will either completely fail, or if we are lucky flip.
