kotaku.com — Reports from around the Internet as well as here on the forums indicate that EarthBound has been given an E-rating for the Wii at this time. Details are still coming in, but on the surface, this means one of two things: either EB is due for an imminent release on the VC, or the big N is tantalizing us yet again (like they did with Shining Force II)

Earthbound is one of those games that just never got the reception it deserved, which is exactly what the virtual console was made for. One of the most charming RPG's I've ever played.

Dude. I could swear he was saying cross. Ness has a Japanese accent. Flash makes more sense. :)

That Final Smash is surprisingly weak considering that Ness and Lucas are in-house characters.

I heard about his a few days ago. All it is is good news. All we need now is Mother and Mother 3 over here in the States.

PSI/PK Flash was Ness', and Ness' alone. The bat was one of his trademarks, and the yo-yo could be used by him.

The idea is if this sells well on the VC, Nintendo might realize that localizing Mother 3 in the US would be profitable.

Too bad this was all a mistake in the end. :P
