Meeting in Brussels in advance of the EU climate summit later this week in Poznan, Poland, representatives of 27 EU member states hammered out the bold agreement.

I think you're probably right. But if you think federalism creates problems in the U.S., just imagine how difficult it is to reach consensus when you're talking about 27 different countries.

In related news, the EU targets 2020 to be the year that Europeans' sh!t won't stink. Reality is expected to have something more to say about that as the deadline gets closer.

call me cynical but all over the world green keeps getting hijacked and watered down by politicians and lobbyists etcthe public support for a real change is already there - has been for yearshow difficult can it be to choose to get it right and then just stick with itit is in my own enlightened self interest to say this to US Diggers - lets see you Yanks nowshow the rest of the human race how to do it right
