nypost.com— Harold Reynolds of Baseball Tonight fame was fired by ESPN today for an unknown reason as he was just re-signed by ESPN for 8 years a while back.

KerbDaddy: ESPN isn't based in "Red Sox Nation" ... Bristol, CT is closer to New York than to Boston. If anything, EPSN is based in Yankees territory. At best, they're firmly on the line.
I hope the whole A-Rod argument put forward by digduggler is the reason he was fired. ESPN's coverage of Rodriguez's recent struggles is way overblown. If Reynolds was fired for sticking up for his morals and refusing to take part in that angle, then I applaud him. This firing will transform HR from a fantastic baseball analyst to a hero and a legend.
it's a shame that someone can get fired for an just being accused of doing something. it goes back to he said/she said. hr is one of the most helpful and nicest people i know. do you think a man with his career is going to risk it on an intern? can anyone say "set up"? and how about the 3 sources familiar with the case. if you are going to open your mouth put a name on it. cowards.
