boingboing.net — Brazilian mega-star Marisa Monte's new CDs from EMI ("Infinito Particular" and "Universo ao Meu Redor") come with DRM that can't be uninstalled, and requires you to "agree" to a contract that isn't published in Portuguese. Even if you disagree, the malware is installed.

Autoplay should just be turned off by default. XP SP3?

or download it from frostwire or bittorrent and get no DRM at all :-)

A quick search for Marisa Monte on riaaradar reveals an interesting result. There's no need to be American to be pwn3d by the RIAA. Seeing how that second A is supposed to stand for "America" maybe they should change their name to "International Big Brother Music Cartel" - IBBMC, sounds catchy. Kinda like an ISBN number.Oh, wait, I get it! By "America" the acronym implies both North and South America! Ok then, nevermind...
