That is awesome. Not only because of the surveillance program, but also because of the net neutrality lobbying efforts. To have exposure to that type of information, to be able to make decisions on who we use based on their policies, ethics, and where they put their money, would be outstanding. Not only that, but transparent funding would also (theoretically) make politicians scrutinize more carefully, where they get their money from, and what kind of light that sheds on them as representatives.

Understand the very large difference between suing for money and suing for a cause or result. Suing to force someone to hand over information, within the boundaries of the law, is a lot different than aiming for a million bucks over some spilled hot coffee or something.

In a Constitutional Republic, the Citizen is Sovereign, so I damn well hope it does.

The telco's management sold out their customers to an illegal system of surveillance. They, and their shareholders, deserve to lose EVERYTHING. Not just money. EVERYTHING.
