gamingtarget.com — The signs have come down at many of the few remaining EB Games stores last week. Those stores have been rebranded as GameStop stores, the company that purchased EB Games in 2005. Gamers everywhere should prepare to bid a final farewell to EB Games, as the store we know and love appears to be in it's final days.

ha ha yeah the price sheetNo matter how broke you were, you always knew there was a game in there for you.Anyone remember how Super Mario Bro/Duck Hunt cartridge was like 29 cents, cheaper than buying a stick of gum these days.

Yeah.. I'm gonna have to pay for the whole thing to get Halo 3 in a reasonable amount of time.

It's still EB in Canada, I've never seen a Gamestop here.

These 2 have been the same thing for years, so it's no big deal that theyre changing signs now. Heck, you can go to gamestop's website, look at any item, and swap gamestop.com with ebworld.com. You get the same exact page,.. just EB's version of it. It's been that way for a long time. Prices have been the same, policies have been the same. This was a sad move.. but it was a sad move 2 years ago, not now. I found out about this in the worst way.. I went there to buy something, asked the guy if they match competitors ads, and he said "yeah.. but our only competitor is EB, and we own them so we have the same prices". I'm no lawyer, so how is it that they're allowed to buy out every other national game retailer? If Microsoft tried that, they'd be trying to hang Bill Gates.

Well they have to make a profit somehow, those buildings usually aren't cheap to rent and wages aren't cheap either. I don't think I'd trade in a game, but for people that don't have time to bother attempting to sell something on ebay it is a fairly useful service and they get more back from the game than they would if they gave it away or tossed it out.

Is Game Centre that tiny game store in the underground mall that sells anime porn?

This sucks ass. I've always liked EB Games better. The people there always were nicer than the ones at Gamestop. It really doesn't make sense though, I mean, there's two Gamestops at my mall. Wats up with that?
