news.cnet.com— 'Spore' developers were surprised by a user's creation of this skeleton because they didn't think this kind of figure was possible

come join us! with epic titles like spore and starcraft 2 coming out soon, the pc is the way to go. Crysis and Bioshock are beautiful and a new computer can be had for less than 700$ that can play both.
Just in case anyone is still reading this thread, here is some more info on the Spore DRM."A disadvantage of this DRM software is that it does not allow one user to login to his/her Spore profile on another user's copy of the game, and that it has a proposed limit of 3 times a user can install the product. The installation limit is triggered each time a user changes certain pieces of hardware, reformats the computer, or installs/upgrades a new operating system.[65] Furthermore, when a user uninstalls Spore, the installation count is not reset.["I know I'm sure as hell not giving my money to a company who does that.
"In fact, at a press briefing in February, Wright said that the development team had hidden easter eggs in the deep reaches of space that they think could take users more than a year to discover."I doubt it.
Actually dood is right. The original DRM system (what you describe) was modified so that you activate at first launch, then you can play the game without the disc in the drive! A lot better than most games if you ask me.
Nope- the system specs for this are really low scaled- I'm thankfully about to get a new killer gaming rig, but it was GOING to work on my 2.2 ghz VPR Matrix with only 768 ram. Will Wright always designs smooth and scalable games.

But Steam has a lot more features than D2D. And it's awesome.
