I had my last phone for three years, and upgraded when I re-upped my cell service plan. Now my father is using my "old" phone, and it's still working great. Barring any terrible things happening, I'll keep this phone for at least another two years.

No, but they sell licenses to third party vendors allowing them to use "made for iPhone" labeling ($) and they sell those third party cases in their stores ($).
