Neither the British nor the American embassies will do much to help women from their countries get their children away from the male-dominating Middle Eastern countries--neither will the countries of these women's origins. We need to change this.

It's religious fundamentalism, not Islam. If America was under rule of Christian fundamentalists we'd see a very similar situation. It's secularism that saves us from this stupidity, and it's very easy for the religious right to claim that their religion is more "civilized" when it is not at all.

I agree. Women are the strongest argument for or against any case that women have: Abortion, violence, suppression...So, in simple words: Women helping the evil side are ultra-evil.
